The masterclass contains approximately 12 hours of video training across more than 50 individual lessons. It covers David's silicone painting process in detail, from preparing the workspace and materials through to building realistic colour, depth, texture and finishing details.

Yes, as well as teaching the course David paints his own silicone face from start to finish so students can see how he approaches a paint job in real time.

This course focusses on one particular skin tone so that David can demonstrate the techniques, however the principles behind the colour mixing, layering, translucency and surface detail can then be adapted and applied to a wide range of skin tones. David most certainly will be exploring additional skin tones in future training, so that there are a variety of examples for people to refer to.

No. Students can follow along using a similar silicone piece or apply the techniques to their own work. The main aim is to understand the process and the reasoning behind each stage, rather than simply copying one finished result.

Availability will vary depending on where students live. David provides detailed product and material information and these will also be listed against each lesson. He is considering offering selected materials or ready-to-use kits through Makeup-Effects in the future, but these are not currently included with the course.

The masterclass is completely pre-recorded, allowing students to start when it suits them and work through the lessons at their own pace. Lessons can be paused, rewound and revisited as often as necessary.
